The editorial series developed by the Dolci Foundation located in Brescia has reached its 20th volume published. The Foundation keeps exploring biographies of Brescian painters in the 1900s from a human and artistic point of view.

This time the Foundation will disclose Ugo Aldrighi (1917-2003): the monograph is not just a dutiful tribute in occasion of the 100 year anniversary from his birth, but a real rediscovery of the author. Ugo Aldrighi was active for decades, yet rarely present in temporary exhibitions. Certainly, his production has been significant for the art of Brescia, and in particular for the narration of its most authentically popular city center, the Carmine district.

By observing his works, analyzing details and comparing colors, it is possible to fully grasp the childish joy of the brightness of a smile: while admiring a work by Ugo Aldrighi, whether it depicts the corners of the vanished city or the transfigured landscapes, warm and intriguing emotions flow naturally.
